Comments:
With a lot of fine-tuning of the TX antenna the contest had certainly started at least one week before 00Z. The element tuning was not finished until Friday night and I lost the long NW Beverage in a snow storm. This cost a lot of QSOs as the vertical array was not particularly quiet for receiving, and the short NW Beverage helped only occasionally.
As a sidenote, I needed the help of a farmer to get my car out of a snowdrift on Monday - not a good weekend to win a contest! |
